my dh has it my sil has it and my 2 dnephews have it

she has been eating wheat and gluten for three months now her belly is getting more pronounced she is not putting weigth on she is still wearing her 6-9 months clothes and size 4 nappies

sorry if tmi but her poo is constantly yellow bt she is sleeping well and is a very happy child

any body with any advice how to start getting her diagnosed coz i live in a different county now to my sil and all the rules will be different

i dont want her getting any food issuses because my dn 's are terrible

There is a 1 in 10 chance that your DD has it becuase her father does. I'd contact Coeliac UK for advice about what you need to ask your GP. You do need to take some action though, because from what you say your DD is not thriving as well as she should be.

dressedup, hope you have a knowledgable GP practice. Sadly, some GPs do give some very out of date info about CD. I don't have experience of testing in children as young as yours, but it would be a good idea to do some research of your own before going to GP. Many people on this site will have really good info for you.

There are a few of us here too. With your family history, the GP should not quibble about testing. This will be a blood test in the first instance. If that is positive, a biopsy is an option, but may not be deemed necessary for a young child/baby. You should then get access to a dietician and prescribed gf food.
