Ah funny you should start this thread.

The last couple of months i have had sinus trouble but it had died off but is flaring up again suddenly and the dd's Eczema is also quite bad.

Spidermama · 10/11/2007 23:18

Actually I have a hideous fungal rash all over the back of my hands.
My ds is quite snotty too.

Spidermama · 10/11/2007 23:18

How long does the spore season last?

Me!

I have been having terrible bouts of hayfever. Itchy eyes, nose, ear canals and roof of the mouth. Ds2 is also suffering a little, more snuffly, red rimmed eyes and just genernally bad tempered!

brimfull · 10/11/2007 23:20

I think I'll start ds on his cetirizine tomorrow,he has that allergic look about the eyes at the moment and is constantly scratching.

Spidermama · 10/11/2007 23:20

My dd and I are both on the eye drops but I thought that was an infection. Could it just be allergies then?

The symptoms are sticky eyes in the morning and generally red.

brimfull · 10/11/2007 23:22

accordiong to my chart

it's all bleedin'year

OP posts:
brimfull · 10/11/2007 23:22

my eyes are crap atm

OP posts:
Flibbertyjibbet · 10/11/2007 23:30

Oh is that what it is? I developed some mystery allergy whilst pg with ds2 and have been really snotty, phlegmy, coughing, itchy ear canal.
Usually whatever I have the allergy to (we think its just dust mites) gives me red eyes and watery nose so I thought this must be something else.

Spidermama · 10/11/2007 23:30

Apart from April, May and June according to that. Grim. I might try to chart my allergies so I know what I'm allergic too because it;s certainly worse at times.

brimfull · 10/11/2007 23:33

me too spidermama, funnily enough I'm fine in the summer

OP posts:
Heartmum2Jamie · 10/11/2007 23:33

Thanks for the chart. At least now I can say with certainty that I have year round allergies. I do think charting my allergies would be a good idea as I definately have times where I am far worse than others, this time of year is definately one of them.

I think I do have an infection as one eye is really watery compared with the other.
But tbh I've persevered with optrex before and it's sorted itself out.

Actually I've probably infected my eyeliner pencil and mascara come to think of it.

OP posts:
Spidermama · 11/11/2007 00:03

Good point. Make up probably cross contaminates.

My tear juice could be used as super glue at the moment I tell you. I'm a medical phenomenon.

brimfull · 11/11/2007 00:04

are you optrexing 2hrly like the bottle says

i'm not

OP posts:
Spidermama · 11/11/2007 00:11

No.

My dd told me, in an accusatory way, her friend's mum comes into school to give her dd eye drops twice a day. (she's 9)

I'm inadequate as a mum. Luckily my dd is staying the night with the alpha mum so she can sort out the eye thing.

gigglewitch · 11/11/2007 00:12

my kids are having a big asthma-fest
DD been really ill, have had to resort to antibiotics to fix it
interesting OP!

brimfull · 11/11/2007 00:14

alpha mums do come in useful at times don't they?

OP posts:
Spidermama · 11/11/2007 00:18

LOL ... yes they can be marvellous when used wisely and in moderation.

brimfull · 11/11/2007 00:24

can I blame the spores in the air on my recent penchant for eating a load of crap.
Have been eating sweets and biscuits which I never normally do.

OP posts:
Spidermama · 11/11/2007 00:27

ggirl you're feeidng the spores. I am too. It's terrible, but when you have an overgrowth of fungus it demands food. Usually sugary food. So you get cravings for sugary stuff.

That's the awful truth about candida - aparently.

< Sips more red wine. Hic! >

brimfull · 11/11/2007 00:36

hmmm never thought of it like that, you're right.

Well I'm hauling my sweet ass of to bed now...probably wake up with thrush

good night!

OP posts:
Spidermama · 11/11/2007 00:39

Good night.
Thrush .... tea tree oil in a garlic clove, threaded with cotton for easy retrieval. It works. Bob's your uhnclie.
