Is Lindisfarne Mead safe for coeliacs?

There's no info on the Coeliac Society website, nor on the Lindisfarne Mead website. I've emailed them, but I don't know whether they'll get back to me quickly.

Has anyone found this out already?

"Lindisfarne Mead is a unique alcoholic fortified wine, made from fermented grape juice, honey, herbs and pure natural water."
Sounds okay to me... I want to visit and try some now op Grin

Safe to Try - Verywell Fit
Mead is safe to drink on the gluten-free diet if it's made with wine yeast (not brewer's yeast) and if it hasn't been aged in a barrel or cask that previously was used to hold beer, whiskey, or bourbon.

You could always ring and ask about the casks?
