Hayfever sufferers - anyone really struggling with their breathing today?

This happened to me three years ago, the mixture of hayfever and thunderstorms make my breathing really bad Sad

I don't have many problems otherwise. Has anyone else's flared up over the last couple of days? I have used my inhaler but it is not clearing it, only lessening it, and the effects are only lasting a few hours. Sad

Yes. I’ve had tight chest all day today. I’m using my inhaler every few hours but it’s not really making much difference. It’s never been this bad before Sad

@tiredanddangerous Same Sad The pollen count for tomorrow is down to medium so I'm hoping it will be better but don't know if it will just clear know it's own or if I need to be doing something more.

I've been okay today but found things terrible at the beginning of the week and was using my blue inhaler a lot. I emailed my doctor who phoned me and said to try me on Montelukast... it's specifically to make breathing easier for those who have pollen allergies / hayfever which triggers asthma (it also works for allergic rhinitus and exercise induced asthma) - I wished I'd mentioned hayfever to the doctor years ago now... could have saved a lot of suffering! It's just one daily tablet.

My plan is to see how I am tomorrow then phone my GP on Monday morning if it hasn’t improved. Flowers for you if you’re as fed up as I am!
