Similac alimentum - what to do with unused tins

DS was prescribed Similac Alimentum a while back, but only lasted a few days on it before the GP switched him to an amino acid formula.
We have 4 unopened tins of the similac, and I’m not sure how to get rid of them. The chemist won’t take them back (even with the seals still in place) and neither will the GP surgery.
Any ideas how I can pass them on to someone who would need them? Are there any charities/services who might take them.
It would be a real shame to throw them out.
