DH working away and staying in a travelodge got access to a kettle, can anyone help with ideas of what to eat, there’s a small Tesco nearby, he won’t eat out on his own and working loads so not really an option anyway

Prepared salad with cooked chicken bits
Rice noodles with a sandwich filler pot
Micro packet rice (stand packet in boiling water) with chicken
Rice noodles and a stir in sauce
Cup a soup with rice noodles
Order a Dominos GF pizza to be delivered

A food flask really helps to cook the noodles faster as they stay hot

If he can access a microwave where he is working, he can nuke a potato or decent soup before he leaves and put it in the flask

Any fridge?

I'm thinking smash might just need boiling water? So some cooked meat and a salad to go with that. But would need picking up each night if no fridge, so could pick up potato salad also if all cold was ok.

What about the tins of tuna pasta salad? Or do those often have pasta in, which would make them a no go.

Are any of the cup a soups gluten free?

I'm struggling come up with "pour on boiling water" that isn't pot noodle, pasta style stuff.

Hello- in most supermarkets there are GF noodle and rice pots. I can't remember the brands but they do exist.

If he can get to an M&S they do excellent GF ready meals if he can smuggle a little microwave in.

As others have said, gf noodle pots available at Tesco, also get him to check with hotel reception as we’ve been allowed to microwave ready meals in the past

Another take and eat later we do in this situation is hot dogs in a flask with gf baguette or look for a local dominoes who will deliver gf pizza to the hotel

Boil eggs in the kettle. Has he got a cool box he can use in the room?
