ds1 has very bad hayfever. we have tried Boots own and Benadryl, both taste awful and get spat out (he has been spoken to about this and will not be doing it again )

can anyone recommend any that have a nicer flavour?

Piriton! It's lovely, like mint lemonade.

he's off to France for 2 weeks on Friday and I need to send something I know Grandma can get in him!

we had one prescribed by docs (here in wales all prescriptions are free for everyone) it's the same as Zirtek (sp???) it's strawberry flavour and ds says it's lovely

My ds has Piriton followed by a small spoon of honey. He says the honey is his reward for taking the medicine!

DS doesn't seem to mind taking Cetirizine or Piriton. I find that if we introduce a new medicine, it takes him about a week of taking it every day before he gets used to the taste.

Is he at a stage where he can understand bribery? i.e. drink this and you get a sweetie? Made our life so much easier once he understood the concept. (I know I sound like I have no ethics but ds has to take 4 medicines in the morning and another 4 at night plus creams).

Zirtek or banana zirtek?

Do you use a medecine syringe? They can swallow with tasting less of it and it's harder to spit out...

The only one DS hates is clarityn.
