Insect repellents that are safe to use while pregnant

Anyone know of any insect repellents that their GP has said they can use while pregnant? My GP and local pharmacists are being singularly unhelpful. Remedies for bites would also be appreciated (I know about calamine lotion and bicarb of soda.) Thanks!

citronella? a natural repellant but have had no info from gp. You could try an avon skin care project called skin so soft, its not actually a repellant but apparently it works, i think its the green one but im sure that another poster might know. I discovered it on a trip to scotland where they were selling it next to the repellants, apparently it is very effective, so much so that it is used by the army! Today i bought a sunblock with insect repellant in it for dd but that did say not suitable for under 18m so not sure if pregnant.

I've been using Superdrug own brand whilst on holiday, didn't say anything on the bottle about not using it while pregnant!
And it worked coz I ain't been bit...
Aqueous calamine solution is good though!
