wish me luck , this week we are trying lidls sun cream on my dd's

dd1 has been having bad reactions to sun creams on and off for years. am fed up of forking out a fortune on creams. am going to try lidls creams this week as they are cheap, and you never know, it may have less active ingrediants and havent seen anything about fragrences on their sheet they sent through.

i can use them anyway if they arent suitable for dd1. think they only go upto factor 20 though.

Good luck - we are fortunate that ds doesn't react to Hawaiian Tropic baby faces and that we live in a country you can buy it in the supermarket.

No reason that Lidl should be worse than the expensive ones - I would think less likely to have strong fragrance as that costs money and would have to be tested with a panel to make sure it gave the right holiday vibes or some such rubbish.

Have you tried piz buin? Its not cheap but my sister, who is allergic to everything has used this since we were kids.

we have tried a heap. have found the more expensive the more likely to cause a reaction. going to re-try the proderm moose if i can find it this year.

Have you tried E45 too?

e45 products are terrible. i would put them on her but ould turn her into a screaming terror with red raw skin.

try Roc, for sensitive skin. Also ask Gp to prescribe a sun cream if your child has ezcema. It should be covered by NHS

Garnier Amber Solaire yet but if you haven't don't bother! My ds has ezcema and this brought him out in a rash on his face - lucky I'd only bought two bottles for the summer at £9 each

by the way if you have any food allergies , try asking boots the chemist to contact manufactures for you.
My local boots contacted australia to check out a couple of suncreams, and they turned out to be unsafe for our son.

Mine have food allergies , eczema, asthma etc. They use an aloe based sun cream called "Water Sports Jelly" by Aloe Up and it works well for them

Don't know if you get AVENE in the Uk. But have found it great they do up to factor 50 in a milk form as well so easy to put on. Put on nephew yesterday who suffers from allergies, skin rashes and nothing came up. It is a bit pricey though.

The lidls baby wash is brill as far as DS eczema is concerned, so no reason to suspect that the sun cream won't be good. Also their wipes are great and don't give nappy rash unlike pampers ones did on DD.

I use lidl suncream on my daughter whos has had bad reactions to expensive ones in the past. She is fine & I wouldnt use anything else on her,also there is brand called 'no ad', which is cheap you can buy it from independant chemists or wilkinsons.
