About to try Wheat for the first time - best thing to try?

Hi

DD is 8 months and I will be trying her with Wheat at 9 months (was recommended to keep her off wheat and dairy until then).

The problem is what do I try first? She eats Purees (well mush now) and finger foods really well so I am confident anything will do but don't want to jump in with both feet just dip a toe in IYKWIM!

So far we have avioded all comon allergens so tomatoes, kiwi, nuts etc etc

Any advice much appreciated (oh and dairy will be next if you have experience there too!)

TIA

I would give it in it's purest form i.e. a wheat cereal with nothing else added - that way you'll know if it's only the wheat she's reacting to, if there's a reaction.

I also took it very slowly with dd1 as both i and dp have hay fever. Sure enough, she developed exzema at 10 mo coinciding with the introduction of dairy. she's now 3.7 yo and still has very dry skin with the occasional small outbreak. Can't remember if it was cheese grated into babyrice/vegs or plain yog that she had first. I never give her milk except on cereal.
DD2 is 7.7 mo and am taking it slowly with her too...
