ds2 has really bad hayfever.
last year the school phoned me to say i better come and look at ds2 as they had never seen anyone so bad.
his eye balls were bulging/jellyish/swelled and right down to his cheekbones.

this year, i explained that i had told ds2 to stay off the field and just play on the yard.

today he tells me he was told he HAD to play on the field as there were workman doing a job on the yard.

he has had to hold a cold cloth to his eyes all afternoon grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

mine has hayfever, Yr1 , I will say that the school have been very good about his hayfever, even giving him his homepathic rmemdny at school lunch time.

Does yours take any medication ?

Over the last couple of years I have had prescribed stuff from the Gp but this year tried the alternative and so far it seems to work.

Unfortunetaly your school have no choice but to stop the children playing in the yard if workman are there.

Very frustrating for you and your son but little choice as well for the school.

Its just an over the counter one - Nelsons Pollenna - I started about four/five weeks ago .

The tablets are chewed or sucked. best to start it at a weekend as the first few doese have to be taken every couple of hours .

Also these can be taken along with other medications , so if you do have a bad day then you could top up with medication.

They can be brought from helath stores and independant chemists ( Boots seem to do their own)

He was really bad last yera and at one time I had to call out the out of hours GP ( weekend) as he was wheezing , and everthing.

We still have GP mediaction in the cupboard for just in case.
