FODMAP for IBS and eczema - has anyone tried this?

Having seen new research and read up in how high Fodmap foods can cause IBS and possibly eczema I’m going to give it a try and wondering if anyone else has found it effective?

I was told by a GI Consultant to try FODMAP for IBS-D. For all sorts of reasons I haven’t. I started a bad bout of IBS the day before spinal surgery, ten days ago and the D continues unrelenting. So will try FODMAP but standing in the kitchen is limited, shopping restricted to online delivery. Any tips? Are there any ready meals that comply? I am pretty sick of eggs as have been eating scrambled egg daily to try and counteract the D. Taking loads of loperamide, about 12 a day as well as co called constipating pain killers. I would be grateful for any help and advice please.

Have to say I have followed this for 2 weeks and my D is much better however today I ate seeded bread and had a curry with chilli garlic and onion in it. I will know tomorrow morning if I’ve done the wrong thing. I have to say as a vegetarian who loves her veg - I feel so unhealthy!

Yes, it does not seem easy to do a healthy diet on FODMAP. I will need to do a shop before staying properly but am sort of trying to avoid high FODMAP stuff at the moment. Going to attempt and jacket potato later. Fingers crossed!

Does anyone use any of the Apps? The reviews do not look great.

I had a funny tummy today but I’m back on low Fodmap. I think the occasional curry might be bearable. More my stomach than my bowel that’s not happy today!
