I spent ages trying to find out if I could do home allergy testing.

I have used all the kits on myself & my dd's, results came back the same as the hospital results (so good if you just want to know)

How to they work? Do you use blood to test? Thinking of getting one for dd who we think has a food allergy.

Hi Jodie - yes you prick your finger and fill up a little tube with blood - then it's rather like a pregnancy test you have to put it in the applicator and wait for 1/2 hour. Really simple.

Thanks, will have fun trying to do that with dd!

Yes difficult but its the only real way of knowing

we found the test difficult to use (because it was hard to know when you had enough blood in it. It gave a false negative result.

Interesting DS has been tested a lot but I have often wondered about myself and DP.
