Eczema and washing powder

Ds (10 months) has suffered terribly from eczema, after dermatologist referral, creams and diagnose of allergies we seemed to have it under control but last few days looks really sore and is marked out where his clothes are (there is clear skin all around nappy area, looks like white bits when you have a sun tan!) just wondering if it could be washing powder. We have been using the dermatology tested persil ones and no softener. Any suggestions or tell me if I am over thinking it! Thanks!

I will be going to the shops later and having a look. Hardly any sleep with a very itchy baby!

We have always used Surcare as my dc had really bad eczema as babies and although have grown out of the really bad years still have sensitive skin.
We always use extra rinse and I use 1/3 less washing powder than recommended. Do not use fabric conditioner as that can irritate the skin.
I went on an eczema management for carers course at hospital and this is what they recommended. Also if using emollients on your dc regularly do a 60C wash every now and then to get it out properly.

I had tried Surcare but even that was found to cause sensitivity, I then read an old article in The Daily Mail about Skin salve and gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find it washes really well and it is entirely natural. It leaves your clothes clean and very soft
Highly recommend. It can be found online at www.skinsalve.co.uk
