I am 37 weeks and developing horrid little itchy patches all over the bump - any ideas what I'm missing in my diet that might help??

Try some omega oils. I have also found shea butter really, really good for eczema type dryness. It's worked on my children where everything else has failed.
The chances are it'll all settle down once the baby is born

thanks kitty. gp is one who says it's exczema - the shea butter helps a bit, he's prescribed some cream (diprobase??).

But he also suggested that there might be something in my diet that was insufficient for baby and me to both have enough, so body was giving it all to baby, and I wondered what I might supplement with. Or eat more of.

Hello, I was the opposite, had lovely skin while preg, and a month after DS was born, I got really really bad excema all over my boobs and hands . Once I had cut out dairy, it cleared within days. I'd second the omega oils, they're really good for the baby too, so it's a good thing to take, as well as the regular mums vitamins. Hope it all gets better.

Yeah I thought about that after I went to bed last night and I reckon that's it -

having cut down on oily fish, and cut out nuts almost entirely I reckon I'm probably not getting enough oils - certainly not as much as I used to.

right - to boots!
