Ciclosporin for eczema & urticaria

Hey! I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there on ciclosporin? I've been on it for just under 2 years now for severe eczema & chronic urticaria.. I've recently tried to come off it.. as DH & I are trying for a third baby. Coming off it has been highly unsuccessful & my skin was terrible. Consultant has said it is possible to take it through pregnancy with extra monitoring... has anyone been pregnant on ciclosporin & could share their experience of it? Thanks in advance Smile

Hi :) I'm not pregnant yet but came off Ciclosporin last year with TTC in mind. My main side effect from it was not being able to stop bleeding (blood tests were a nightmare!) but the only way I've been able to control the eczema since is with Elocon (body) and Protopic (face) which are not necessarily great in pregnancy but maybe better than Ciclosporin. Could you rely on something topical (but strong) instead? I'm sure the docs can keep a good eye on you either way though. Sorry not especially helpful but really I just wanted to say I get where you're coming from and good luck :) xx
