18 month old dd has mild excema, used to be moderate.

I mamnge it with 50:50 at night and aveeno during the day.

Going to the tropics and will need a suncream. last summer she came out in rashes / excema when it got hot?

not sure if sue to pollution or the heat??

have read a fe threads and narrowed down prbably suncreams t try:

Prederm, now called Bergaderm
Greenpeople one

Now heard tht Aveeno do a sunblock too? looked it up on web and only sold on ebay or US..anyone know of a reputable place to purchase it in UK???

anyone used it on their child??

any more recommendations? also looking for an insect repellant for sensitive skin...

going next ext couple of weeks and getting really worried that i won't be prepared. please respond if you have any products to suggest.

I used Aveeno sunblock last summer on my dd and i got it from softskin.co.uk -sorry cant link you.

I use Aveeno sunblock for children on dd. Has never reacted to it. I have someone in the states who sends it to me. I have an extra tube here (Ireland) that I could send to you if you like. I know how hard it is to find the right dreams for the dreaded excema!

Sunsense is a wonderful sun cram - factor 60 - for children and it comes in a roll-on version, which is really handy. I think that Multipharmacy stock it. There are suncreens available with insect repellent in them, but I'm sorry, I can't remember anty brand names

Dreams? Of course I meant creams.

Can't find that link to softskin and have been onto AVeeno website and no luck either. Would love to get my hands on some of this. Anyone else any ideas?

Hi. just posted same msg ( similiar anyway) with whichever insect repellent you put on your child, make sure you put a cream on first - so skin absorbs the cream, not the repellent. ive found a insect repellent in ' Superdrug' that says its for sensitive skin and for under 2 - so its the one im going to try - havent yet so cant promise it works...

We had success with Dr Hauskha suncream after trying several - not Aveeno though.

Also used the UV suits for sunprotection so we didn't have to apply suncrem to so great an area.
