Warning- picture. What has bitten me?

Sorry to gross you out. Am on holiday and Yorkshire and have several of these on legs, ankles, arm, hand and face! Really itchy swollen and hot. Any clue?

Horsefly. They are complete bastards. Take an antihistamine if you have any and cool them with cold wet flannels.
