I've had a warning letter from Sainsburys about their 'free from' range.

They must have records that I'd bought things using my loyalty card! Big Brother or what!! Apparently some items from their free from range are contaminated with something dairy. The chocolate cakes, choc & orange cakes, and some rolls were mentioned. I can check what exactly if anybody is interested (I chucked it in the recycling without thinking).

I think that it is quite good on their part that they can contact people who may be affected by it. Sometimes big brother is not such a bad thing.

I had the same- and also thought "how the f do they know what I've been buying" Contaminated with casein- milk protein.

At least they did something this time, they had a baked beans contaminated with milk in the past, I talked to them about possiblle contamination and after 3 weeks they apologised profusely as they found there was milk on them which was not listed in the label. They never reported this to the anaphylactic campaign or allergy UK

i bought a pizza and found a piece of plastic in it,Phoned the no on the pack and they sent me a £20 voucher,so may be worth a try.

please could you post a link or maybe a seial/batch number for the chocolate cakebars as my MIL bought some for my dd just before new year and she has ate only one of them with 3 still left in the packet...thanks

just found them-it looks likeonly the packs of 2 are affected , dd had a packof 4...
