We have been asked to provide food for the school party, but to ensure that it doesn't contain traces of nuts are there are allergic children in the group. What do I need to look for on packaging? Does it need to be explicit that it does not contain any traces of nuts or is it OK if it does not mention nuts?
I am thinking of doing some cheese and tomato tarts as I have some Saxbys ready rolled pastry I need to use up. Under allergy advice it mentions gluten but nothing else. Is this OK? I assume cheese, tomatoes, milk and margerine - which will all be used in teh bking will be clear.
Any advice from anyone directly affected gratefully received.
