I have just discovered that my youngest has got a nut allergy. My 3 year old has cadburys buttons and the youngest is always trying to pinch them. I was going to try and wean eldest onto kinnerton chocolate but I cant find it anywhere? I live in Retford, Notts - have tried boots, asda and morrisons? Any ideas?

Kinnerton also make kid size chocolate bars (usually in packs of 5) for about £1. They usually have tv characters on the front. Get them in Woollies/Poundstretcher etc. I used to get them for my daughter who has a nut allergy and they were well worth it without having to worry all the time about what chocolate they're eating.

When SDD was allergic (since been desensitised) her school went on a trip to Cadbury World but CW wouldn't guarantee her safety due to the fruit and nut etc. being made. So, I felt so badly for her I wrote to Kinnerton and asked for a factory tour. They was AMAZING! They said that they had had a few requests like this and managed to co-ordinate a group of allergic kids with parents and siblings for a day out. It was like Charlie and the Nut Free Chocolate Factory. And at the end they could choose ANYTHING as it was all safe, for the first time in her life ever she could choose anything. It was a joy.

Also - have you tried 'Its Nut Free' online? They do lovely products and we used to get tubs of treats for Xmas etc. Nice cereal bars too.
