Any thoughts on this? My DD1 had her face painted with snazeroo face paints on Friday for comic relief (by me in the morning before school) washed off as normal in bath Friday night, no problems all weekend, have used this face paint before lots of times, this morning she has woken up with lumpy itchy angry skin where the paint was, it's so obvious, she has a bright red love heart on one cheek and a red flower on the other. My other DD is sick in hospital and I need to get to her this morning after DD1 goes to school, does this absolutely have to be GP today? I have put diprobase on but to be fair don't think it's helping :(

Have you got any suitable antihistamine you could give to her?

I have some piriton syrup that was actually prescribed for my other DD when I gave her intravenous antibiotics at home in case of allergic reaction, never used it with either of them tho'. Bloody comic relief. Gah.

Just looking at the label and daren't give any, it says it might make her sleepy. Why do these things happen when you're already in blinking crisis mode?

Just reading your post twojumpingbeans and wondered how your dd is now. Hope it has all gone/settled. I just found this also www.mumsnet.com/Talk/allergies/a1873332-Face-paints

My dd has many allergies and when younger facepaints were a definate no no due to her nut allergy as some used to contain nut ingredients. Worth keeping in mind.

Thanks for the link, DD has never had a problem with nuts, not so far anyway.. Her face was awful for a few days, have been taking piriton syrup for the past few days which seems to have helped, it's still there though, feel v sorry for her.
