I'm interested in how much OAS fluctuates. I have been severely allergic in the past, but things seem to come and go. Stuff is much worse in northern hemisphere hayfever season; away from that, I can eat some things and my mouth will swell a little, but nothing else will happen.

12 years ago I started having OAS symptoms when eating apples and pears - lips swelling, eyes watering. 10 years ago I had my first anaphylaxis after eating nectarines. I had 5 subsequent ones before I got sent to an allergist who told me what to avoid in advance. Over the next few years I realised I was allergic to (fresh, dried and cooked):

apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, greengages, strawberries, hazelnuts, brazilnuts, macadamia nuts, (old) kiwifruit, latex, carrots, capsicum, and pricks from rose bushes.

Does anyone else find the symptoms fluctuate or fade with time? I'd love to be able to eat all those things again...
