allergic reaction from (my favourite) wine!

took a sip of it and had my face feel like it was burning, it went blotchy bright red and i had some red spots on my chest too. it is now going away after about half an hour. there's no ingredients on the bottle though it does say as allergy advice that it 'contains sulphates'. i do get quite flushed in the face normally from drinking alcohol, but i assumed that's from getting slightly tipsy. do i avoid all alcohol, all wine or just that particular one?

That happened to me as well when drinking red wine. It had always made me very flushed, but then one time my face get very blotchy and itchy too from a cheap red wine. I have never drunken red wine or red port since, but white wine is fine.

I do at the moment, asleep. I'm nearly 38 weeks pregnant!

But usually, yes. Which is a shame as I love G&T.
