Dd2 has reacted to her latest gluten introduction . It's our third failure . Consultant apt in five weeks- do I carry on so that when we get there he can see it/do the tests?
Am scared as last attempt she lost so much weight and was so ill.
This time the runny slimey poo only took three days to kick in and she also has spots around her mouth and is lethargic . Has returned to needing a nap .
Grrr- am so unsure guys . What would you do ?

Ugh. I know that officially you need to reintroduce gluten for a period of time for the blood tests to show any results but I don't think I could go through with it if I were you.

Could you take her back to the GP and ask for advice? Or even - and I appreciate this is laughably naive - phone the consultant's secretary and see if he can see her sooner?

The GPS are lovely but their knowledge with allergies is dire .
I was planning on phoning on Monday as the consultants secretary is brilliant .
Like you said - it's flipping hard . It's poisoning your child . Without the definitive diagnosis though her life will be trickier .
No gluten for the weekend and phoning Monday - sounds like the safer plan . Thanks!
It takes guts of steel to feed a toddler food when you can see the side effects ...
