Itchy eyes and sneezing...?

Hiya...
Over the last week my baby has been sneezing more than normal but the doctor said when he was about 4 weeks old (hes now 5 months) that some sneezing was normal, so I didnt think anything of it. Hes also been rubbing his eyes alot, but since we've been going back and forth between ours and MILs house for about 2/3 weeks, ive put it down to tiredness and been encouraging more sleep. Ive just realised today (thicko!) he might be allergic to something, as hes had 2 naps today and hes still rubbing his eyes, but seems quite awake and happy otherwise. They are going abit red now, and have raised spots underneath. Im not really sure what to do - obviously go to GP on Monday, but thats 2 days away. im at MILs and she has a dog, and smokes (outside, but the house has been smoked in for 25 years). Should I go home? Should I ring NHS direct? or out of hours GP?

Sounds to me as though the dog could well be the culprit. Does he sneeze more at MIL's house?

In view of his age I would give NHS Direct a quick call.
