Saw this article and it has made me so happy and optimistic that my ds might one day be free to eat what he wants (he has severe peanut allergy).
allergy breakthrough
Lets hope all our allergic children can be free by the time they are adults!

wow that would be great, i see so many children who i work with with allergies. let's hope they can do this

Yes i was so pleased when i woke up to this news.

It is the future i worry about with my ds, when he is older and i cannot follow him around with an epipen. So this news is fantastic

Yes exactly mell2. I now have hope that my ds will be free to live life the same as all other young people. Live on takeaways at uni, travel without fear etc. I used to feel scared for the future and sad for what he would miss. It is such good news!

I needed cheering up this morning tealady. I've had a sleepless night as my ds went to his first cub camp last night (back tomorrow). So i've spent all night dreaming of lost epipens

I know how you feel. My ds has his first 2 day residential with school later this month and I am scared. I have to keep telling myself the risk is small - but it is hard to let go. Hard for any parent I'm sure - but allergies just make it harder.

Yes, hopefully this news will make it easier for us.

Good luck at the end of the month and i hope you don't have too many sleepless nights.

Yes I heard this news with glee because dd age 3 has severe peanut allergy and dd2 has sesame and egg allergies. The peanut one is terrifying. I'm still not clear how its going to work in reality but my optimism levels are up! Here's hoping it becomes a reality very soon!
