Swimming pools for sensitive skin e.g. saltwater / Chlorine free

I'm wondering if anyone has managed to locate a saltwater pool or alternative to chlorine pool for swimming? I've looked everywhere and absolutely struggling!!!
Earlsfield based but open to transport to get to it...

my son is intolerant. we coated him in a light film of petroleum jelly (vaseline) when we sailed for 2 weeks on open water because the sea water "bit" into his skin. it acted like goose grease on cross channel swimmers and he was fine to swim everyday in the sea!

Is it for a child? If so then the London Baby Swim pool in Wandsworth is very low chlorine as it also uses UV to filter.

If it is for an adult I can only think of ones that are in gyms where you'd need to join, Virgin Active's pools in Streatham and Fulham use Ozone rather than chlorine as does the Chelsea Club.

Brockwell Lido's hydrotherapy pool is chlorine free but it is small and more designed for physio than swimming.

Otherwise you could brave the Serpentine Lido or Hampstead Pools?

Our local pool has no chlorine, it's cleaned by uv or something. It's in Hampshire .

Appreciate your responses! It is for me (adult) however would prefer my child to have chlorine free too so that I can be with her for lessons.

Hockeymama - really interesting I never knew that worked. I wonder what the impact would be in a pool - I suppose it wouldn't come off because it's waterproof? Sorry to hear that your son has trouble in the sea. Wonder what it was.

I've spoken with Fulham Virgin Active and Streatham and they both said they use chlorine. I did see on another swimming website they were meant to be chlorine free however when I phoned them (this week) they confirmed they use chlorine.

Chelsea Club is ozone and chlorine - so less chlorine than normal but it's still present unfortunately :-(

Hi - there are various completely chlorine free pools in London and the south east, mainly in hotels, high end clubs and the health clubs in private apartment blocks (as you've found out ozone, UV and salt pools all have chlorine in, regardless of what they claim). You need to look for ones that use a product called PoolSan. Nearest to you is the Hotel Rafayel in Battersea otherwise, the health club at the Jumeirah Hotel in Sloane Street.
