DD can only use The Sun Mousse as we have tried and failed at others but the 30 SPF is all sold out.

Does anyone have any good alternatives that aren't Nivea, Sunsense, E40 or the one from Waitrose or ambre Solaire? Or any with zinc or parabens in? DD is allergic to topical anaesthetic and reacts badly to antiseptic to give you an idea of sensitivity.

We love the sun mousse but travelling on Wednesday - thanks in advance x

Have you asked on Facebook to see if any friends have some? Cant you order tonight and pay for speedy delivery?

Sunsense Sunsensitive is the one I use on DS, Bergaderm is non-reactive for him too but it stings like buggery if it gets in your eyes. I don't think he's as sensitive as your DD though.

Is your usual sunblock available in a lower SPF? I think you should get that if it is then at least you will have something you can use and keep her in the shade for the middle of the day.

Neo - so sadly stocks are out at source :( I've been all over and even amazon are out.

TT - 30 is the lowest I think, I can get 50 but I don't want to put that on her as I believe VitD needs to get through. I thought that bergerderm used to be the brand name for the sun mousse but I'm going to google now so thanks for the idea. Off to google !

Hi,

I actually work in the healthcare industry and am currently on maternity leave after just having my son.

I know that the new Sudocreme sun mouse is in fact exactly the same product and is manufactured by the same company. It is factor 50.

This is widely stocked and I bought some myself in Superdrug last week and it had 1/3 off the price.

Hope this helps.

Also just to clarify, The Sun Mouse, Bergaderm and Proderm are all the same product, but it has just been re-named and re-packaged over the years - very confusing!

I first started using this product several years ago when I became aware of it through my job and now won't use anything else as it is so good.

TerribleTantrums · 06/08/2013 13:47

I would go with the factor 50 and apply it 10 minutes after you get into the sunshine if you're worried about vit D. Your body only makes a limited amount of vit D each day, so the first 10 mins will be enough time if it's quite sunny.

I know this is an old thread but I used to use proderm and now it's called Evy Sunscreen Mousse with Proderm Technology.
