Interesting read.
The reason I was asking, is because my son is allergic to eggs, chicken and feathers. The whole bird.
But 36 hours ago I gave him turkey, Ive been avoiding it, thought it was obvious being poultry but doctors keep asking if he can have turkey and I need to be able to answer them as they are talking about exploratory surgery very soon because he's allergic to 30 foods and counting.
So far, he has had no reaction from the turkey. I just really need him to do a poo to prove this, but so far, so good.
Made me wonder if he would be ok with turkey eggs (cooked) do people use turkey eggs??
Then I wondered if he'd be ok with duck eggs.
As I said, I have absolutely no intention of testing duck eggs on my son. Thats not to say a SPT wouldnt be able to test next time his annual one is due.
Very good point about being ok with breast milk but not cows milk, ds certainly thrives on my milk. Also super allergic to goats milk.
But if he can eat pork (allergic to beef and lamb) then maybe hes ok with pig or turkey milk?
Joking obvs
