Added egg to my intolerances; getting a bit bored with eating now

Can't do coconut, almond, dairy or egg
Can't do pulses & most green veg

Meat & bread 'seem' OK but I'm a bit bored

My diet is being monitored by the NHS; but I'm a bit fed up with the 'try it & see method'

I know intolerances aren't allergies; but when you consider how many allergies I have the distinction seems a bit moot

Sorry just feeling a bit down just now Sad

Crikey, that is a long list, no wonder you are fed up, you have evety right to be!

Can the doctor refer you to a dietician who could thrn come up with some new ideas for you? Sorry if you've already thought of this.

I have a few allergies but pregnancy seemed to lessen the reaction to quite a few of them.

AllIWant85 · 28/06/2013 20:42

Just seen this on another thread, any good to you?

KatyMac · 28/06/2013 21:02

Thanks I'll have a look

I guess I'm just feeling a bit down

Bacon sandwich & homemade leek & potato soup for lunch, then probably steak & chips for tea

So today is a good day; tomorrow will be harder

Any day with steak and bacon is a good day! :)

I'm glad yesterday was good and I hope today hasn't been as bad as you feared.

KatyMac · 01/07/2013 07:08

Actually today wasn't too bad - I had a late bacon sandwich breakfast & umm, steak for tea

Mmmm, steak! :)

Glad it was ok. I have chilli for tea tonight, can you eat that? I love hot chilli with mounds of boiled rice!

KatyMac · 01/07/2013 22:19

There is a possibility that my intolerances aren't intolerances at all

They might be internal contact allergies Hmm

Not sure how I feel about that tbh

ok with soya?

what fruit is ok for you, banana, strawberries and blueberries ok?

if soya is ok you can buy soya custard.

white rice ok? make a rissoto?

try searching for recipes online, my daughter regularly makes, milk/egg/nut/soya free pancakes , biscuits and cakes.
look on it as a challenge and use this time to experiment!

AllIWant85 · 02/07/2013 16:36

Internal contact allergies? Confused

Does that mean you don't react unless you ingest the allergen?

KatyMac · 02/07/2013 18:51

Maybe

It seems a bit odd to me; but coconut makes me bleed & that's a bit odd for an intolerance (apparently)

OP posts:
AllIWant85 · 02/07/2013 21:22

Makes you bleed?! That's awful. Are the doctors testing you?

KatyMac · 02/07/2013 21:24

No - I'm on exclusion diets

Coconut is the worst - but I wonder if it's that in some toiletries/lotions that makes me react

That really sounds so difficult. I have a few allergies but I just have to read labels carefully and never eat food homemade by other people unless they are 100% sure what is in it.

I don't think there's anything else for it...you must have lots of steak! :)

Steak and chips?
Steak and salad?
Steakwich?
Steak stir fry?
Just steak?!

I love steak, in fact I bought some after reading you'd have some. I may have it tonight.

KatyMac · 04/07/2013 21:51

Chicken stir fry tonight

It seems a bit Atkins to me

& I keep being told 'contact' allergies aren't 'real' allergies - it's all a bit Hmm

OP posts:
AllIWant85 · 05/07/2013 18:46

If it makes you react in any way then it's an allergy surely?!

KatyMac · 05/07/2013 19:06

It's an irritant (now) apparently

OP posts:
AllIWant85 · 07/07/2013 09:43

These doctors sound like irritants! Wink

Do you like BBQ food? I love it when the sun shines and I can cook outdoors, had homemade burgers last night as I had some mince to use up. Tonight will be tuna steaks and jumbo prawns!
