Wet wrapping a six month old - any ezcema experts out there?

I am posting on behalf of a friend who is struggling with severe eczema in her 6 month old DD.

She's new to wet wrapping and would value any top tips people have discovered in terms of

  1. Clothing / bedding over bandages
In this weather, is it ok to put clothes on top of the bandages / how many layers / what is best?
  1. How do you get ointment onto the leg crease which is covered by the nappy and is a problem area in terms of ezcema?

Any other tips for someone starting out from people who are experienced would be most appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi, I would dip the first layers in warm water (same warmth as the babys bath) then the next dry layer, then the pyjamas, then quilt as usual.

Put the ointment on the creases as usual. If its still causing issues there, a little ointment steroid cream will help.
