lists of egg containing foods?

are there good lists online with foods that contain hidde eggs?
could only find american sites, maybe I am using the wrong keywords for searching...

Thing is, in the EU any ingredients list must state if a product contains egg by law so I wouldn't worry to much about 'hidden' egg as long as you're reading the ingredients and not relying on allergy boxes.

I am thinking of christmas chocolates (with the main package removed).
dh has the suspicion that some (maybe belgian chocs?) contain egg.
also stuff on a buffet where no ingredients list is available.

I would give unlabelled buffets a wide berth - and never rely on general lists of things that may sometimes have hidden egg... although it can be surprising sometimes (e.g. Marshmallows can occasionally have egg - who'd have thunk it?!) if I can't see exactly what's in the food I have in my hand it doesn't go anywhere near my DD :-) Even mass produced pre-packaged stuff that you'd think you can rely on can sometimes have a new recipe... Pom Bear crisps often crop up here as driving people mad with adding milk products and taking them away again!

dh can't have egg and mil (who is otherwise lovely) doesn't 'get' it.
we take our own egg free mayo to her house... she always decants foods into jars or ornamental plates and chucks the package

Oh gosh, you have my sympathies. My DS is 2.10 and egg allergic since 5mo when I gave him his first taste of it!!!
It is surprising to find that many many chocolates, icing sugar, sauces you name it- it might have egg in it - even crisps. Lots of Marks and Spencers food in fact all of it has egg in it somewhere!!!!
Do you mind if I ask you what advice you have been given?

Most companies have lists if you email them but some have lists of products with egg and some have lists of products without. Then some just say look at the ingredients or allergy information! If you go to the asda website they list allergens in products if you look online although they do always cover themselves by saying look at the actual label when you buy it, just to make sure.
Sainsburys have online lists of own brand products which are egg free.

those surprise foods are what we are after.
shrimp cocktail is sort of obvious but others (chocolates) are not...

Instant gravy granules sometimes have egg. We got caught out by cupcake decorations, looked like little sweeties but made from royal icing with raw egg white.
