our cat food contains egg!

I found out yesterday that the cat's food (Iams dry) has egg in it. I have removed it and am weaning the old kitty onto another brand. Meanwhile his bowl is outside for a few days.

why? does your cat have an allergy? lol

haha. Duh, left out that DD (20 mo) is allergic to egg white and egg yolk.

Dog food usually contains egg too!! We have actually had an instance where my ds was licked on the face by someon't dog and had quite a serious skin reaction. Here in Oz there are also some brands of dog food sold in peanut butter flavour. We are now very conscious to keep ds away from other people's cats and dogs.

Bloomin eck - is nothing safe?

I'm remembering the washing up liquid with milk in it too. Not to mention odd things in cosmetics.
