any ideas for snacks to send into preschool?

DS starts preschool 5 mornings a week tomorrow. He's very excited and I'm confident that the staff can deal with his allergies competently and sensitively.

I need to send a snack in for him every day, and I'm stumped for ideas. He's not a big eater, and is horribly fussy as well. He's allergic to dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds, pulses, banana, chicken, garlic and onions.

Does anybody have any suggestions? All ideas will be most gratefully received!!

Mini sandwich

Peeled satsuma/grapes

Small pot of pasta salad

Some cocktail sausages might be ok
Little pot of cheerios
Mini breadsticks
Dried fruit - dates, apricots, prunes etc
A couple of biscuits
Slice of Soreen apple and sultana loaf - don't have a packet in front of me so don't know if it has banana though... apologies if it does
Home made flapjacks

Will keep thinking

Thank you both! Pasta is a great idea - I don't think DS will eat pasta salad (might try it), but he will almost certainly eat plain pasta shapes. Also, he will be overjoyed to find a tub of cheerios in his snack box - and what a wonderfully easy snack for disorganised mornings Smile

I'm off to bake home-made flapjack for the freezer...

I sent him in with plain pasta wheels this morning and he scoffed the lot. Wahey.

That's brilliant :) Nothing like an empty lunch box, esp when lots of thought has gone into filling it. Lucky boy!
