Woke early feeling very odd, lips were huge and my tongue was swollen, so much so I had difficulty speaking. Also had red itchy bits between fingers and toes.
Happened to have some anti histamine and promptly took it, thankfully symptoms disappeared. I am now wondering if I should see a GP? I feel like a time waster if I'm not presenting with symptoms. That being said, I got quite a fright with my tongue swelling.

Definitely go to the doctors. Any reaction involving tongue swelling should be taken seriously. Before you go, try to make a list of everything you ate yesterday, particularly anything out of the ordinary, and anything you might have come into contact with eg were you gardening or out in the country yesterday where you might have touched some plant or other? Have you recently changed washing powder/softener/body lotion/soap etc?

Can't think of anything I have changed, or did differently.
Will go to GP then, I just feel a bit daft, I never go to the doctors, and to go when I'm not ill seems odd.
Mind you if it stops me from possibly choking to death..

the tongue thing was a serious symptom, you were very lucky the antihistamine sorted this, I would recommed calling for an ambulance if this happens again.

go to your gp. you could have developed an allergy to something that you eat normally.

better to be safe than sorry.
