In the last few days I have been suffering with awful itchy, burning skin which started with blistering type pimples near my bra strap. My mum bought me (to help me out) two primark bras, which I've never used before. I wonder if there is latex in them? I've worked out I've got hives from the pressure of the straps and the area around my chest. Really weird - never had this before. I thought it was a jumper but is only in the area where I wear a bra. I'm going to put a compress with milk on my skin. My shoulders and area under the bra is raised and red with bumps. Driving me insane.
Typically I've run out of anti-histamine, may take some childrens anti histamine tonight and see doctor tomorrow. Anyone else experienced this with cheap bras?

I brought a bed sheet from primark that brought DD out in a rash. I ran her to the doctors as I thought she had measles. I was given a reaction cream that only seemed to calm it and went back for some piriton type stuff that did get rid of it. Put them through the washer a few times and try again once it's cleared up.

new fabric has lots of 'dressing' type of chemicals, and lots of people have skin problems with them.

some clothes are more heavily covered than others. be aware that now your skin is sentisized it may react to other new fabric, soaps etc. so treat your skin gently!

btw

I think everyone should wash babies new clothes before they wear them, esp if ezcema in the family, because of these chemicals in new fabric.

Thanks all. Really makes you think about the harm chemicals can do to your skin. I took a anti histamine & stopped wearing the bra & all ok now. I never had this problem with bras from John Lewis or M & S!
