My DS (16 months) is allergic to cow's milk (that means he can't drink neither goats or soya milk and only can have oat milk) and egg.

The poor thing has a very boring diet and i've run out of ideas.

I have cooked so far:

  • Fish fingers and baked beans
  • Fish and potato/sweet potato mash
  • Any veg with baked chicken
  • Meatballs and spaghetti
  • Canelonni
errrrr

Does anyone have ideas about how to replace butter/egg to include in ingredients so that he can have something more interesting please?

I'm going to try the fishcakes the girl from the Cbeebie's 'I can cook' show made but if you have more recipes... i would be sooo grateful!

Thanks

Is he allergic to soya too? If so, then that does it make it more difficult (my DS is allergic to milk, wheat, eggs & nuts but not soya). However, replacing butter is easy, use Vitalite or Pure sunflower spread. Replacing egg is a bit more difficult but you can buy special egg replacers from healthfood shops or online (I think Goodness Direct sells them). Have a look at PigInTheKitchen's website for loads of fantastic freefrom recipe ideas.

Pasta with tuna and tomato sauce
Sausages and mash
Jacket pots - dig out middles, mix with sweetcorn / salmon / bacon bits / whatever he will eat and replace.
Roast chicken and trimmings go down well with mine.
Kedgeree - rice with onion, curry powder, peas and smoked mackerel
Fish pie (a faff but you can make the creamy sauce with oat milk and sunflower marg).

Oatly do a cream replacer which is nice - can add to mash or pasta sauces to make more creamy.
