Skin prick test results - hive size 3-4 - is this an allergy?

ds was referred for a skin prick test.
He frequently gets stomach aches and abdominal migraines/headaches
He had the test today. Nothing came up at all for most of the tests except for wheat. He had a size 3-4 hive (slightly smaller than the histamine test hive) for wheat
Does this indicate an allergy? Or could it be an intolerance?
Will get an appt shortly to review results with his paed and in mean time shall I remove all wheat from his diet?
Any advice? Thanks!

yes its an allergy.

am cheesed off for you that a test which gives instant results didnt have the doc there to explain what the tests results mean!

skin prick tests are only test for lge allergy.

Yes, DS had a letter today with the results of skin prick tests and size 3 shows he's allergic (though he's not really shown symptoms to one of the foods).

The tests were in May though, and it's only been in the letter today that the doc has said to avoid that food. The nurse who did the test did suggest that it might be a good idea to avoid it.

Would skin prick tests show a response for non-IgE allergies if the symptoms are skin-related eg eczema?
