prescription food

we've just started getting all of Cate's food on prescription, and although the hospital gave us a long list of all the products that are suitable for wheat, gluten, dairy and soya free diets...the bread mix and the pizza/pastry mix both contained BANNED substances (wheat in one and soya in teh other).

THe consultant did tell us that ingredients change, but as the whole process of getting presciptions filled takes nearly a week I'm loathed to get something "wrong" again...so does anyone know which brands of flours and mixes would be okay?

are you under a dietian?
if yes, ask him/her to check all the food for you.
My dietian rang ahead to check all the food supplements were safe for my child.
its worth asking.

Join the The Coeliac Society to get a definitive list of gluten free food. I can't remember what the list says about dairy/soya.

the dietician has basically said it's a case of trial and error..but I'm going to try and contact the companies directly...
