Sorry I know so many of you have so much more to worry about, but I am on fire and so itchy and lumpy right now!

I am quite atopic and have sensitive skin especially on my legs it would seem. I have managed to keep it a but under control, I epilate instead of shave but they are always a bit itchy and scabby.

Today I decided I was going to get my legs out as the sun tends to help. I have had an op and I have just had a dressing changed on my tummy so I can't have a proper shower/bath. I am sore anyway so I didn't want the added pain of epilating, so I bought a brand of razor that I know I can usually get away with. I sat in edge of bath, wet legs, used aqueous cream and shaved. I could feel this irritated a bit so I put some more aqueous and steroid cream on after.

Went to put my shorts on (that have been in the wardrobe since last year) and suddenly my legs have erupted in massive lumpy hives, it is so itchy and site I want to actually rip my skin off, but I know that will only make things worse. Tried to put on my jeans, that I was wearing only this morning, and it made it even more worse.

So now I am lying on the bed in my pants with red raw hot lumpy legs. Just glugged back some if dd's piriton syrup, please help what else can I do?!

Btw it is my thighs that are worse, that came into contact with the shorts, but ironically I don't even shave that far up my leg.

When I've had hives to that description I've always put aloe Vera straight from the plant on it! It calms it down instantly and reduces the itching!! Or I've used Elizabeth ardern 8 hour cream!!

Hope you feel better soon

Thank you gina. The piriton started to work eventually, but now I am very drowsy and wondering if I should get into the car to pick up dd! No wonder she slept well when I gave her some for her heat rash the other night! Grin
