Prevalin for hayfever - making symptoms worse?

I used Prevalin for the first time today, along with my normal meds, and my nose hasn't stopped running. It's almost like I haven't taken ANY meds. Runny, blocked nose, itchy nose and throat, watery eyes, sneezing, the works!

I'm starting to wonder if I can possibly be allergic to something in Prevalin... Confused

Anyone used it with similar results?

I started my son on Prevalin the night before last, combined with another new med and we have seen a huge improvement!

It sounds to me like your medication has not yet kicked into gear rather than a reaction, but do read the leaflet, just in case. I've not used that one but have noticed a need to 'build-up' anti-histamine before it kicks in. I do, however, react badly to Piriton - it makes my test really tight, so I struggle to breathe. When I read the pamphlet that came with it, it did say that could happen.

I used it and had problems, then read packet (stupid me should have done before) and realized it contained sesame oil....I'm allergic to sesame be never realized it would be in a medicine...oooopsss thankfully all it did was make my noise runnier
