How long for something to get out of ds's system?

DS has had a runny, smelly, farty, mucousy bottom for 7 days. How long do I leave it before taking him to the gp? He's well in himself and eating and drinking fine.

If you're wondering why I've not done so yet then perhaps these reasons might help!

  1. We arrived back from Africa 10 days ago so I first wondered whether it was the same bug ds1 had or just the remnants of travellers' tummy
  1. He often has 'unusual' nappies as he has multiple suspect food reactions
  1. On Wednesday I decided it might co incide with the fact that since Thursday he'd had a slice of toast each morning with breakfast so stopped - hence the OP - he's not had wheat since Wed pm
  1. I spend my life at the gp's and am slightly embarrassed every time I have to go. Having 4 dcs this is often more than once a week Blush

He is 9m. Any help gratefully received!

Is he teething?
Dd has no allergies but her nappies go very similar to what you describe when she was cutting teeth at that age.

He's been 'teething' since 4m but still no teeth yet Confused

Do you still have the birth to 5 book? I think it says 7 days in there before looking for further advice cos short term dodgy tummy/weird stools are quite common and somewhat normal in babies and toddlers.
