my baby has horribly itchy scalp that keeps her up at night scratching...

GP was not sympathetic and just gave me some aveeno oil products. they have not helped. I am now trying to find soap/bath and cream and washing powder for clothes that works. have also tried- burts bees, oilutum, sanex sensitive, E45....

maybe its the non bio powder? am now going to try surcare..

please recommend your top products.

My advice would be to never use any type of shampoo or soap. Just try a bath additive like Dermol 600 and wash baby's hair in the water then use a soap replacement like hydromol or epaderm to wash their skin. I use Surcare washing powder/liquid and always choose the sensitive or extra rinse cycle on my washing machine - you'd be amazed at how much detergent is left in the washing without the extra rinse.

If you don't see any improvement after a fortnight I would recommend going back to the GP as you might need to use some hydrocortisone to clear it up plus it's worth checking that it's not infected as my DS's scalp was (if it's raw and weepy it could well be infected and will need antibiotics).
