Eczema and apple allergy (situation escalating!)

Hi, hope someone can help me.

For background information had childhood asthma and sporadic eczema, usually cat and dust allergies. Eczema got worse with pregnancy. Asthma only when I have throat infections.

Last year I was pg and baby had anecephaly and I was strongly advised to TFMR (which I did in May). Since then my ezcema is terrible - just my eyelids but its agony. The timeline of things is hazy but it was definitinely in the aftermath of that time.

Following this and risk of difficulty with further pregnancies (I had DD 3.10) we thought about getting a cat and researched non allergic cats. I spent time with a cat and the reaction was awful (although I did test the cat well, rubbed eyes with fur on hands etc.). This wasn't long after the termination (couple of months perhaps) - during which time I had been pretty much continually ill with infections.

So situation for past few months is eczema getting worse (think eyelids flaking to the point where they bleed- nice). Now it appears I am allergic to apples (birch pollen allergy?) and for over an hour after eating an apple I have a very strong reaction, particularly around my eyes and throat (just figured the link today after second reaction). I have been eating frigging apples for years and now I'm allergic. The only thing that has changed in the past month is that I have started exercising (so more sweat and swimming pool chemicals if that matters).

So my Q is - is this all related? I had planned to see a dermatologist about my eyes and the eczema but should I see someone else now? I am using vaseline for the eczema as its the only thing that doesn't irritate it - is this ok? Should I go to my GP as a first port of call or is it not worth bothering with?
