been given a remedy for dd's excema; now nervous about giving it (safety wise)...anyone else given a homeopathic remedy (soft tablets) to a young baby? [23 weeks]

been told to crush the tablets between spoon and then given tablet crumbles to her.

Hi my dd has allergy related eczema too. I would be very wary about crushing tablets to give to a baby, my dd is 6½ months & is weaned & I wouldn't give her crushed tablets - my own personal opinion. I can't suggest anything I'm afraid, but would love to know what other people suggest. My GP keeps giving me hydracortesone cream to put on her face, but I'm reluctant to use it as I've heard it thins the skin. Anyway, good luck with your quest...

Forevermore, best to go for a consultation with a registered homeopath, who'll take a holistic aproach to treating your dd's eczema. tryhere

the remedy was given to me from a registered homeopath after a 90 minute consultation

does that change things?

SOS Cream is what you need. It is a 100% herbal based cream which works wonders. It is from Barefoot Botanicals and you can order it on-line. I have been using it on my 13 month old baby since he was 3 months old. It is VERY expensive - £15 for 100ml but worth every penny IMO. We stopped using steroids after trialling it for 3 weeks (when ds was 8 weeks old. ). Every time we stopped using the steroid, the excema came right back- at least we know the SOS cream is safe.
