Experience of ketotifen

Reposting this from Children's Health.

DS is 10 months old and has very bad silent reflux. He's on omeprazole, and has just been prescribed ketotifen. The consultant said it should help him sleep, as a side-effect.

I would sort of love this, as he wakes 14 times a night and it's taking its toll (my marriage is suffering horrendously), but am a little worried.

Has anyone had it prescribed for their baby? Did it actually help sleep? Was the baby able to rouse his/herself if asleep face down, for example?

Both my DD and DS are Eosinphillic and under Great Ormons Street. They are both on a mixture of medications one of them Ketotifen.

It does help them sleep and also reduces the side effects when they have a flare up. I was doubtful at first when it was prescribed but wouldnt go back now!

Good Luck xcx
