Hi,
is it possible to have cows milk or what as a contact allergy?
DS is 9months and from about 5.5months has had some eczema. he has little bit on his chin. When we have breakfast with cold cows milk (as opposed to porridge) and cereal his chin get red like the eczema is inflamed. it last for about half an hour and then starts to fad.
It doesn't happen with porridge or with toast.
Has anyone else had this.

It could just be the contact of damp foods/liquids on his delicate skin and not necessarily milk or wheat.

Does it happen when he has other foods with them in?

Me and DCs have contact allergy on our chin/cheeks when we eat mature cheese.

as far as I can work out it's just the cold milk cereal.
but the damp thing makes sense too.

I guess I'll just keep an eye on it for the next few weeks.

That's a bummer about mature cheese.

So what cereal is it? If it's a cereal for older children, rather than baby cereal, there may be ingredients in that (ie: cheerios) that react, rather than the milk/wheat.

Being cold milk wouldn't make a difference.
