zipped full coverage mattress covers for dust mite allergy

My littlest DC has dust mite allergy and I need to buy single and double full coverage mattress covers with a zip around (because DC often comes to bed with us). They do seem very expensive (after spending most of the day wandering around shops, eg John Lewis, Tesco etc). Has anyone found a cheaper option, maybe online, that they could recommend? I am going to buy more for when DCs stay at various relatives so I would like to keep the cost down if possible.

I think you may have to just pay for it, i consider dustmite allergy to be very expensive to control.
the bed covers are just the start!

they also wear out!

I tend to buy my son a new duvet every year, and new covers as well.

Thanks eragon, yes we are doing the new duvets each year, I've been trawling online reviews and it seems that the cheaper mattress covers tend to rip/zips break so I suspect I will just have to take a deep breath and do some expensive shopping!

we didnt stop with just the covers, the boxes for toys, the wooden flooring , the leather furniture, the pollen/dust filters, boil washing the bedding , damp dusting. freezeing soft toys. all this is just as important. its expensive, time consuming, but does have some effect. good quality sleep is very important.

yes, luckily we have wooden floors and leather furniture already (and I boil wash bedding as a matter of course). I am setting myself a spreadsheet so I remember to do everything regularly. Full of admiration for all of you who manage to do this all the time.
