Have had reactions in the family to a set of foods: reaction is severe mouth (pallete) pain that apparently feels as if upper roof of mouth is splitting.

Sources so far:

toffee apple
KFC zinger tower burger (Iknow I know)
wholemeal seeded bread

On waiting list for Consultant but 6 months at least

Maybe sesame? In the burger bun and bread, and maybe cross-contamination on the apple? I think sesame can cause the sort of allergy which is triggered by the tiniest amount. Just an idea.

How about soya
Looked up the ingredients of tesco toffee apple and that contains soya
the kfc use a lot of soy flour
and seeded breads sometimes contains soya seeds

bruffin · 20/10/2011 09:59

tesco toffee apple not sure if your apple was from tesco but if they use it, then it is likely to be in other brands
